Back legs only? Start with the rear harness
If his front legs still carry him, the Rear Lift Harness does the job with less on him: lighter, quicker to put on, chest left free. This one is for the dog whose front end is going too, or whom you need to lift whole.
A good fit if
- His front legs shake or fold too, not only his back legs.
- You need to lift all of him: a flight of stairs, the car, the vet's table.
- He weighs 100 lbs or less.
Not the right one if

How do I pick his size?
By his weight: 12 to 25 lbs, S; 26 to 35 lbs, M; 36 to 55 lbs, L; 56 to 75 lbs, XL; 76 to 100 lbs, 2XL. Deep-chested, or right on the line? Measure around his chest just behind the front legs: S 18 to 22 in, M 21 to 27 in, L 24 to 35 in, XL 28 to 39 in, 2XL 31 to 43 in. Blue camo comes in S to XL, black in S to 2XL. Wrong size? The exchange is free, shipped at our cost.
Rear harness or full-body harness?
Look at his front legs. If they still carry him and only his back end gives out, the Rear Lift Harness is the one: lighter, and it leaves his chest free. If his front legs shake or fold too, or you need to carry him up stairs or into the car, take the full-body harness.
Can I lift a big dog with it?
It is made for dogs up to about 100 lbs, and the handle spreads his weight over his chest and his belly. How much you can lift is up to your back: bend your knees, keep him close, and for a heavy dog let him take what weight he can on his own legs.
How do I put it on?
Slip his four legs through the four openings, close the buckles along his back, then set the strap length so the handle sits where you can hold it without bending over.
How do I wash it?
Wash it in cold water with a mild detergent, skip bleach and let it air dry.
